Re-enrollment is required during the annual open enrollment period. Enrollment in a previous year is not rolled forward into a new plan year.

FSA Reminder: You may only enroll in a FSA if your medical coverage is with a Classic, Value, or UMP Plus Plan, or you waived your WSU coverage. The Consumer-Directed Health Plans will automatically enroll employees in a Health Savings Account (HSA), which make those employees ineligible for a FSA. If your family is also be enrolled in an HSA, at WSU or elsewhere, you may need to adjust your selections. View the Health Savings Account webpage for more information.

WSU offers the option to enroll in these benefits via paper form (coming soon) or online enrollment (available November 1, 2017).
The annual contribution limits for 2018:
- FSA: Minimum of $240, maximum of $2,600
- DCAP: Cannot exceed $5,000, or $2,500 if married and filing separately
Health Savings Account
Employees enrolled in a Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP), are automatically enrolled in a Health Savings Account (HSA). WSU will contributes participants’s HSA Accounts, and participants have the option to contribute as well through pre-taxed contributions through payroll deduction. Any 2018 payroll deduction forms submitted during open enrollment will be effective January 1, 2018.
