Requirement
Washington State University is required to provide a disclosure statement to workers who are non-United States citizens and who came to the state of Washington based upon an offer of employment. (Revised Code of Washington 19.320)
Process
- The Foreign Worker Disclosure Form should be given to all new employees who provide documentation that they are non-United State citizens at the time they complete the I-9 form.
- The new employee signs the form and a copy is kept with the employing department's personnel files.
- Departments may also post the Foreign Worker Disclosure Poster alongside other federal and state workplace posters.
Note: Contact HRS for assistance if the new employee is not fluent or literate in the English language.
