The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential service guaranteed by state and federal laws, as well as, professional licensing regulations. Confidentiality will be maintained regarding all contacts to the extent allowed by law. Appointments are kept confidential and information is not included in personnel records nor revealed to supervisors, coworkers, family or friends.

Should an employee be referred to the EAP by a supervisor, the EAP can only confirm for the supervisor, upon their request, if the contact was made and the dates on which meetings took place. No other information will be released to the supervisor without the consent of the employee or a legal requirement to do so. Specific information is released only when the employee has signed specific written consent, the law requires it or there is concern for client safety or the safety of others.
