WSURP Pre-Retirement and Benefit RefresherSeminars

Human Resource Services has invited representatives from TIAA to present three financial education seminars for Washington State University Retirement Plan (WSURP) participants who are looking to retire within 5-10 years, or participants who are not near retirement, but would like to review the benefit and retirement elections. Each session will begin with a benefits discussion presented by the Benefits Staff of WSU Human Resource Services, and will be followed by a financial education portion presented by representatives from TIAA.
Pre-Retirement Seminar – 8:15am to 10:45am, or 2:00pm to 4:30jpm Both sessions will be held in Lighty 405.
The first portion of this workshop discusses retiree medical and dental plan options, VEBA sick leave cash-out benefit, life insurance, tax-deferring payouts, and the supplemental retirement plan (SRP) benefit.
The portion of this workshop is a presentation by a representative from TIAA. If you are enrolled in a Department of Retirement Systems plan (PERS, TRS, LEOFF) you can choose to not attend the second hour of the presentation.
Target Audience: Employees looking to retiree in the next five to ten years.
Benefits Overview Seminar – 11:00am to 1:00pm. Session held in French Administration Room 139.
The first hour of this workshop discusses planning ahead for retirement, voluntary retirement plan options, a general benefit overview, and information for WSU employees who are in their mid-career.
The second hour of the workshop is a presentation by a representative from TIAA. If you are enrolled in a Department of Retirement Systems plan (PERS, TRS, LEOFF) you can choose to not attend the second hour of the presentation.
