HRS manager serving on Higher Education Recruitment Consortium’s advisory board

A member of Human Resource Service’s Talent Acquisition team was recently selected to serve on the advisory board of the Higher Education Recruitment Consortium, otherwise known as HERC.

Bonnie Wilmoth currently manages HRS’s Talent Acquisition team and has filled numerous roles at WSU in her 14 years of service to the university. Since July 2023, Wilmoth has served on HERC’s regional advisory board, and was appointed to the national advisory board in November. As part of her work with the non-profit consortium, Wilmoth also serves on HERC’s Job Seeker subcommittee.

“I am excited to continue to work on ways to expand talent pools in higher education recruitment,” Wilmoth said. “I am also eager to explore the resources HERC offers related to diverse, equitable, and inclusive recruitment as well as work environments, and share those resources with colleagues across the WSU system.”

The Higher Education Recruitment Consortium works with colleges, universities, and other groups to broaden the pipeline of talented candidates to the field. It’s more than 700 members organizations are committed to advancing the principals of diversity, equity, and inclusion across higher education.

Wilmoth’s experiences at WSU include working with human resource professionals across the system on issues such as classification and compensation, recruitment, personnel management, training, and professional development. In her role as manager of the Talent Acquisition team, she leads efforts to develop and implement recruiting tools, resources, trainings, and strategies utilized throughout the university system.
