Honoring Hispanic History

National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15th to October 15th, honors the rich cultures and achievements within the Hispanic community and recognizes the contributions of Hispanic American leaders. This month is an opportunity to celebrate and support the diverse influences and accomplishments that have inspired success.

Here are some ways to participate:

  • Support Local Businesses: Coordinate an event at a local Hispanic restaurant, museum, or venue.
  • Enjoy Spanish-Language Films: Host a movie night with friends and family to watch a Spanish film.
  • Contribute to Causes: Make a donation to a Hispanic-focused cause.
  • Learn Spanish: Take the opportunity to learn or improve your Spanish skills.
  • Explore Latin Cooking: Attend a cooking class hosted by a Latin chef.
  • Join Dance Classes: Sign up for Latin dance classes to learn salsa, rumba, merengue, or mambo.
  • Share on Social Media: Reflect on what Hispanic Heritage Month means to you and share it on social media.
