Start Your Career Off Right

Congratulations on your new position at Washington State University!

The first step on your successful career here is to work through our new employee onboarding. This page walks you through the actions you need to take and when to take them.

Onboarding Timeline

On Your First Day

Start your orientation

Important activities to do on your first day:

  • Complete your I-9 Form
  • Confirm your home address
  • Complete your tax and banking information

During Your First Week

Continue your orientation

Your first week is the right time to:

  • Understand your benefit options
  • Know how to access Workday and get support
  • Begin your new employee orientation training in Percipio

By the End of Your First 30 Days

Complete your orientation

At the end of your first month at WSU, you should:

  • Complete your benefits elections in Workday
  • Know how to access your payslips
  • Know how to find your Time and Absence balances and accruals

During your first weeks here at WSU there will be a lot for you to do, from entering your payroll information and choosing your benefits in Workday, to meeting your team, getting access to the systems you need to do your work, and acclimating to the Coug culture.

During onboarding you may have a lot of questions. The following sections direct you to the right places for the answers you need.

Having trouble with your WSU credentials and can’t access Workday? Submit a help ticket at the Crimson Service Desk.

If you can log in to Workday and have questions about using the platform you can either:
