In March 2024, President Schulz announced that Washington State University would be performing reviews of both academic and administrative units university-wide. Beginning October 7, 2024, HRS will partner with CampusWorks to conduct an assessment and Process Reimagine and Redesign (PRR) of the university’s Human Resource Services (HRS) operations, including key payroll and accounting areas that interconnect with HRS processes.
CampusWorks is an organization that collaborates with colleges and universities to develop and implement insightful strategies that improve institutional effectiveness and enhance the staff, faculty, and student experience. During their engagement with HRS, CampusWorks will perform a comprehensive review of all structures, processes, workflows, and technologies involved in HR functions. This review aims to:
- Assess and reimagine outdated or inefficient structures and processes.
- Provide suggestions for ways to further leverage Workday with efficiencies and enhancements.
- Help develop solutions to relieve pain points and administrative burden tied to current HRS and related payroll processes.
- Help HRS define and refine how they serve the university.
Throughout the review process, CampusWorks may reach out to HRS and key Payroll Services members, those with the HR Partner Workday security role, faculty, and administrative and academic leadership for participation in interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
For additional information about the CampusWorks review, including a project timeline, description of activities, and FAQs, visit the new project web page on the HRS website.
Please reach out to HRS@wsu.edu with any questions or concerns regarding this engagement.
