Updates Made to Employee Rights and Responsibilities Under Executive Policy 15 Training

WSU is required to comply with Title IX, a federal law that requires universities to address concerns of sex discrimination and sex-based harassment in specific ways. The Department of Education issued a new regulation in effect August 1, 2024, that included additional requirements for WSU and for all employees. To remain compliant with the regulation, Title IX training was assigned to all WSU employees August 1, 2024 with a three-month due date.

The new employee requirements have now been incorporated into the annual required Employee Rights and Responsibilities Under Executive Policy 15 Training.

Employees have specific obligations under Executive Policy 15, and supervisors should ensure their staff has completed this required training, along with Ethics in Public Service: Executive Policy 45 training.
