Upcoming Enhancements to WSU Incident Response Training and University Ethics Content

Two core compliance trainings are receiving content updates during the first quarter of 2026:

  • WSU Incident Response will feature a refreshed look and feel. In response to learner feedback, the automatic audio playback will be removed, giving learners the flexibility to read, listen, or use both options as they move through the course.
  • University Ethics Policy UPPM 10.65 (formerly Ethics in Public Service) will also be updated this quarter. The new version will separate the content into two shorter modules, reducing how much uninterrupted time is needed to complete the training compared to the previous format. Additional enhancements will include a new section that highlights the role of records and record requests within the policy.

Before the updated versions go live, learners who have already begun either course will receive a message outlining the steps needed to save their progress and avoid losing work during the content transition.
