A COVID-19 booster clinic specifically for WSU faculty and staff is set for Dec. 15 in Pullman.

The vaccination booster clinic will run 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the SEL Event Center, 1825 Schweitzer Dr. in Pullman. Vaccines are being administered by Sid’s Pharmacy staff, who will be providing the Moderna booster.

Faculty and staff need to bring photo ID, insurance card, vaccination card and will need to complete an intake form. Vaccine boosters will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointment times are reserved using the online scheduling form.

The university is encouraging all members of the WSU community to get a booster shot as soon as they are eligible. If scheduled during work time, WSU employees can receive up to two hours of release time to receive the booster.

Those who are unable to attend the Dec. 15 clinic can find a location offering COVID-19 vaccines by visiting the state’s Vaccine Locator website. Available appointments within 50 miles can be found simply by entering one’s ZIP code.

Idaho residents can find more information about vaccine availability by visiting the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare website. Oregon residents can find more information at the Oregon Health Authority’s website.

More than 94% of WSU employees across the state are vaccinated against COVID-19. However, those who completed either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine sequence at least six months ago, or those who received Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen at least two months ago are recommended to receive a booster. More information on how to choose a COVID-19 booster is available on the CDC’s website.
