Planning For Retirement? Learn More This Fall

No matter where you are in your career, understanding your benefits and retirement options can help you plan for the future with confidence. This fall, HRS Benefits is offering several presentations designed to help employees learn more about retirement planning, benefit programs, and available resources. Additional information about each presentation, including participation details, will be published in WSU Insider in the weeks leading up to the events and on the HRS Benefits Retirement page under Retirement Events & Webinars.

Upcoming Sessions

PEBB Retiree Plans

September 17 | 10 a.m.- Noon

Representatives from Washington’s Public Employees Benefit Board (PEBB) will present information about PEBB retiree plans. This session is designed for employees who expect to retire in 2-3 years and want to understand how retiree insurance fits into their overall retirement planning.

Social Security 101

September 22 | 10:30 a.m. – Noon

Social Security representatives will discuss retirement benefits and provide guidance on Medicare enrollment, including what employees should consider when planning for retirement.

WSURP/TIAA Pre-Retirement Information

September 29 | 9 a.m. – Noon

September 30 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m

HRS Benefits will host a WSURP pre-retirement session followed by a TIAA presentation on retirement income options. These sessions are intended for WSURP participants who are within 2-5 years of retirement.

HRS Benefits/TIAA Benefits & Savings Options

September 29 | Time TBD

September 30 | Time TBD

HRS Benefits and TIAA also plan to offer a benefits overview session for employees who are not nearing retirement but would like a refresher on their benefits and savings options. Additional details, including session times, will be announced soon.
