In a continued effort to recruit, develop, and retain an outstanding, diverse, and fully engaged workforce, Human Resource Services (HRS) invites separated employees to participate in the Washington State University (WSU) Exit Survey.
The survey provides separated employees with a forum to submit anonymous responses regarding their experience with WSU through an online system.
Survey responses are analyzed on an annual basis and used to evaluate our services and continue building the best possible work environment for our employees.

FY 2018 Survey Summary
The response rate for the WSU Exit Survey for fiscal year (FY) 18 increased to 29.8%. Overall, the responses received in FY 2018 were consistent with the responses in FY 2017. Respondents indicated they enjoyed the benefits package and professional development/educational opportunities. Most respondents who voluntarily separated from WSU indicated they left WSU to work for another higher education institution or retired as the primary reason for separation. Less than half of the respondents indicated they would recommend WSU as an employer to others.
Since initiating the online Exit Survey, HRS has been able to identify potential trends. Response data for key survey questions are also showcased in the summary document.
The FY 2018 Exit Survey Summary has been shared with University leadership and they recognize the value of this information. HRS will be working with University leaders to address areas of concern.
