Employee Engagement Survey

The online survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, and every individual’s responses and specific answers will be kept strictly confidential. The data collected this year will serve as a baseline to measure our progress and will be compared to other workplaces in the state. The survey will be conducted every other year. The information we collect in the future will determine how effective our improvement efforts are in the long term.

One-Time, Four Percent Payment To Be Provided To Civil Service Employees

WSU is implementing a one-time payment of four-percent of base salary for eligible civil service staff.  The payment, although one-time, reflects our concerns for the importance we place on the staff who make WSU the fine and dynamic institution it is today.

Affordable Care Act
The Affordable Care Act and Information about the Marketplace

Effective January 1, 2014, individuals and families will have a new insurance option available through the ACA Marketplace.  Most WSU benefit eligible employees will not need to pursue that option, however, it may be applicable to employees who do not have coverage.  For information about the Affordable Care Act, as well as the Marketplace, click on the above link.

Faculty Appointments - Full-Time Academic Workload

Starting in 2014, under the Federal Affordable Care Act, Washington State University (WSU) must report actual work effort for all employees, including Faculty.  Therefore, effective July 1, 2013, WSU will require faculty appointments be set up as full-time equivalency (FTE).   

 

January 1, 2014 Salary Increase Information

President Floyd has authorized a salary increase that is a combination of an across-the-board adjustment of 4% for faculty, administrative professional (AP) employees, and graduate students and an additional meritorious increase for eligible tenured, tenure-track, and clinical faculty. This increase is effective January 1, 2014.
