The Employee Recognition Program provides an opportunity to recognize and thank staff and faculty for their contributions, dedication, and commitment to the WSU community.

System-wide Employee Recognition

The Employee Recognition Program recognizes Washington State University employees through the following programs.


Length-of-Service Awards

Recognizing the contributions of WSU employees, the Length-of-Service Awards support employees’ milestone celebrations.


Crimson Spirit Recognition

A quarterly commendation for Washington State University faculty and staff, the Crimson Spirit Recognition award honors those who have provided superior customer service.


Quarter Century Club

The Quarter Century Club honors faculty and staff who have reached the impressive milestone of 25 years of employment with WSU.


Leaders of Distinction

WSU proudly honors the rich legacy of contributions of those who have shaped the university, including teachers and scholars, staff and advisors, students and alumni, administrators and regents, volunteers, and friends through the Leaders of Distinction award.


President’s Employee Excellence Awards

The Washington State University President’s Employee Excellence Awards Program recognizes outstanding contributions to the University by administrative professionals and classified employees across the state.


Provost’s Eminent Faculty Award

First presented in 2000, WSU’s Sahlin Eminent Faculty Award is the university’s highest faculty honor.

Campuses, Colleges, and Areas Milestone Recognition

Campuses may hold milestone recognition events for their faculty and staff during the year. The WSU system Employee Recognition efforts, Quarter Century Club celebration, and campus events are meant to complement each other.

Colleges and areas may similarly host recognition events throughout the year for their faculty and staff that are separate from the WSU system recognition events.

Faculty and staff throughout the WSU community are encouraged to participate in all events where they’ll be recognized.
