Instructor-Led Training (ILT) Instructors

Instructor-Led Training (ILT) instructors play an important role in supporting employee learning and development at WSU. Whether facilitating a one-time session or managing recurring training offerings, instructors are responsible for ensuring learners have a successful training experience and that attendance records are accurately maintained.

This page provides resources and guidance to support instructors who offer training through Percipio.

Supporting Instructor-Led Training (ILT) at WSU

Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) partners with departments, subject matter experts, and instructors across the university to deliver instructor-led learning opportunities through Percipio.

From one-time workshops to recurring trainings, LOD provides resources and support to help make the experience successful for both instructors and participants.

Course creation and scheduling

Instructor-led training begins with collaboration between the sponsoring unit, instructor, or subject matter expert (referred to as content owners) and LOD. Using information provided by the content owners, LOD creates the course and schedules class offerings within Percipio.

Once published, training opportunities may be promoted through the LOD website, HR Source newsletter, and the Percipio course catalog. Departments and instructors can also share the Percipio course registration link directly with their areas to support targeted outreach and enrollment efforts.

After the session

Following a training session, attendance is reconciled to ensure learning activity accurately reflect participation. For virtual sessions hosted through Zoom, LOD provides attendance reports for use during the reconciliation process.

LOD provides guidance, training, and refresher support related to attendance reconciliation and other instructor-led training processes. Instructors and content owners remain responsible for verifying attendance and maintaining the accuracy of learner participation records.
