Some notifications can be customized by learners, while others are managed by the system or area Learning Administrators.

Notifications You Can Manage

Learners can manage some Percipio notifications based on personal preferences. Where you adjust a notification depends on the type of learning activity.
- Learning digests, journey reminders, and certification notifications are managed from your My Settings area in the left navigation menu of Percipio.
- Instructor‑Led Training (ILT) notifications are managed at the individual course level and can be turned on or off from the course details page.
Below is an overview of the notifications learners can adjust and where to manage them.
Monthly Learning Digest
The monthly learning digest shares recommended learning, featured courses, and upcoming opportunities in Percipio.
Where to manage: My Settings (left navigation)
Journey Reminders
Journey reminders help you stay on track as you work through a learning journey by sending progress‑based prompts.
Where to manage: My Settings (left navigation)
Certification Reminders and Notifications
Certification notifications may include reminders about progress, renewals, or upcoming certification‑related deadlines.

Instructor Live Training (ILT) class notifications
Percipio sends several notifications related to instructor‑led training to keep learners informed about registration status and upcoming sessions. Most ILT notifications are sent automatically and cannot be turned off, even if other notification preferences are adjusted.
What learners can manage:
- Notify when classes are added: Learners can turn this notification off or on from the course details page, and are specific to each ILT.
What is managed automatically:
The following ILT notifications cannot be turned off and are sent to support scheduling and enrollment:
- When a learner registers for or cancels a class.
- When a learner joins a waitlist.
- When an administrator modifies or cancels a class the learner is registered for or waitlisted for.
- When an administrator adds a class to a course that the learner has turned on notifications for.
- When the class is starting soon.
Notifications Set by the System or Learning Administrators

Some notifications are automatically sent and cannot be turned off, as they support enrollment, assignments, and required learning communications:
- Assignment notifications
- Registration and cancellation notifications for Instructor Live Training
- Some featured learning and upcoming opportunities
Assignment Notifications
Assignment notifications depend on who creates the assignment:
Assignments created by Learning & Organizational Development
- Notification when the assignment is created
- Reminder at the halfway point of the due date
- Notification when the assignment becomes overdue
Assignments created by area Learning Administrators
- You may receive additional notifications based on local settings
Instructor-Led Live Training (ILT) Class Notifications
The following ILT notifications cannot be turned off and are sent to support scheduling and enrollment:
- When a learner registers for or cancels a class.
- When a learner joins a waitlist.
- When an administrator modifies or cancels a class the learner is registered for or waitlisted for.
- When an administrator adds a class to a course that the learner has added to their playlist.
- When the class is starting soon.
- 7 days before the class
- 3 days before the class
- 1 day before the class
These messages ensure you’re aware of changes that may affect your schedule.
Featured Learning & Upcoming Opportunities
You may also receive notifications about featured instructor‑led trainings, recommended courses or programs, and other learning opportunities highlighted in Percipio. These are informational and designed to help learners discover new learning options.

Learners can get self-guided help from two sources:

Who to Contact if You Need More Help
Learning Administrators support employees across the university by helping connect learners to required and optional training in Percipio. Assigned by area, college, or campus, they provide guidance on training access, completion, and compliance to support employee learning and development.
Contact your assigned Learning Administrator when you have questions about required training, assignments, or access to learning content in Percipio. They can also help if you encounter issues with enrollment, completion records, or need guidance on training requirements specific to your area, college, or campus.
If you know who your area’s Learning Administrator is, they’re your best first point of contact for questions about training, assignments, and learning support within your area. Learning Administrators work closely with Learning & Organizational Development (LOD) and can often help quickly resolve questions or guide you to the right next step.
You can contact LOD directly if you’re unsure who your Learning Administrator is, your question spans multiple areas or campuses, or you need additional support beyond what your Learning Administrator can provide.
