The goals of the Leadership Development Programs offered by Washington State University are to advance the individual development of leaders at all levels within the system. The program goals are:

Development of foundational leadership skills, advance skills for emerging leaders, and provide advanced support for mastery in leadership.

Teach and provide opportunities to develop and implement best practices associated with leadership roles and responsibilities.

Develop leaders’ change capability in order to react quickly to our changes in the economic and social environments.

Develop leaders’ soft skills, such as emotional intelligence, to advance leadership impact.
