The Washington State University President’s Employee Excellence Awards Program recognizes outstanding contributions to the University by administrative professionals and classified employees across the state.

Awardees are selected based on a review of nominations and the recommendations of the President’s Employee Excellence Awards Committee. Nominations focus on the outstanding contributions made by the employee regarding productivity of the unit; innovative problem solving; positive working relations with students, the public, and co-workers; and community service.

Winners will receive the Employee Excellence Award at the annual Showcase Celebration honoring the outstanding achievements of faculty and staff across the WSU system and $2,500.

Due to the competitive nature of this award, resubmission of a previously unsuccessful
nomination is encouraged.

Nominations for the 2023-2024 President’s Employee Excellence Award have concluded. Check back in Summer 2024 for details on the 2024-2025 Nomination process.

Although the award is based primarily on University service, truly outstanding contributions to the broader community which reflect credit on WSU may be considered and can be described within the submitted materials.

As administrators of the program, Human Resource Services employees and President’s Employee Excellence Award Committee members are not eligible for the award.
