Elevating Your Professional Success and Growth
We are continuing the Elevating Cougs conference; a committee composed of a diverse range of employees from all WSU campuses are already engaged in the planning for the 2024 Elevating Cougs development conference. The conference will again take place over two days, so please save the following dates: October 22 and 23, 2024. Conference registration will open on July 8, 2024.

What, When, Where, and Who is Elevating Cougs For?
What: Elevating Cougs is a two-day conference experience offered by HRS’ Learning and Organizational Development and Modernization. Over two days, three tracks, and 80-plus sessions, you can:
- Develop your day-to-day skills as a WSU employee
- Become a more confident leader
- Identify actionable ways to implement wellness into your worklife
- Learn how your colleagues are successfully using Workday
When: October 22 and 23, 2024.
Where: Fully remote and streamed free – accessible from anywhere you work.
Who is the conference for?: All WSU employees who want to develop their soft skills to increase future job readiness, become more confident leaders, and learn how to utilize best practices in integrating Workday processes into work performed.
Present at Elevating Cougs
Are you passionate about a topic that positively impacts the work you perform, and have a desire to share best practices and your passion with others, or do you collaborate with someone who has a passion for a topic that you would like to see present? Consider submitting a nomination for a speaker at the 2024 Elevating Cougs conference: https://wsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4YF43UmTYEXKeqi
Speaker proposals and nominations should be submitted no later than June 15, 2024. Speakers will be notified of the status of their proposal by early July and will be provided resources and support ahead of the event.

What Can I Learn?
Elevating Cougs offers four unique tracks:
Attendees may follow one track, or mix-and-match sessions across multiple tracks to personalize their experience.
Developing as a Coug/ Caring for Yourself as a Coug
This track is dedicated to enhancing employees’ individual development with emphasis on soft-skills and well-being.
Sessions offer valuable insights and knowledge beneficial for any WSU employee, at any level, regardless of their specific job duties in addition to expanding employee’s toolkits with actionable strategies and resources to support overall health and work-life balance.

Leading as a Coug
Expand your leadership and team development toolbox.
Sessions in this track are designed for WSU employees who lead others at any level, including managers, supervisors, and department administrators.
If you’re interested in advancing as a leader or developing your personal leadership skills, you’re invited to explore Leading as a Coug session offerings.
Workday Success Stories
Hear from your WSU peers as they share proven best practices and success stories to help you get the most from Workday.
If you perform tasks in finance, human resources, grants management, or payroll, we encourage you to register for sessions in this track. Mix and match your sessions to dive further into your own area of expertise, or to learn more about unfamiliar Workday functions.
