What Are Employment Actions?

WSU officials with Appointing Authority (AA) may authorize:

  • Creation of new positions
  • Hiring
  • Appointment of temporary faculty and administrative professionals
  • Layoffs, non-reappointments, changes to FTE, or appointment discontinuation
  • Employee reassignments
  • Modifying or withdrawing disciplinary actions
  • Employment terminations
