We are glad to announce Andria Donnenwerth, Coordinator with Academic Outreach and Innovation, as a Crimson Spirit Award recipient.

Andria received multiple nominations, so it was easy to tell how much of an impact she has had on the WSU community. Andria serves as the advisor for; the Associated Students of Washington State University Global (ASWSUG). ASWSUG was founded in 1998 and was the first student government in the country that helped provide representation for students earning their degrees from a distance. As the advisor, Andria is “the driving force behind creating connections within the Global Campus.” She helps the student leaders of ASWSUG with their tasks by suggesting new pathways toward goals and encouraging them to think bigger.

Most recently, Andria helped build a partnership between WSU Global and Vancouver students to allow Global students to participate in WSU Vancouver’s revived radio station. This partnership allows Global students to create and share their podcasts on the air. “Without [Andria there would [not be as many] opportunities for global students to build a community outside of their academics,” says a nominator.

Andria is recognized for her creative problem-solving skills, providing superior quality service, superior efforts in support of university strategic goals, expressing genuine interest, and exceeding expectations. “She embodies what WSU school pride is. Especially for Global Cougs.”
