GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

Marcia serves as the Director of Regional Relations in the Office of External Affairs and Government Relations, based out of university offices in Seattle.  Immediately prior to this, Marcia worked as the Executive Director of WSU West in the westside offices of Washington State University and as the Chief of Staff to the Vice President for Extended University Affairs on the Pullman campus. Before moving to academia, Marcia worked for several years for Burlington Resources Inc., a billion-dollar holding company headquartered in Seattle, where she worked as the Director of Corporate Affairs.  Before moving to BR, Marcia spent 10 years working in government and politics.  She holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a BA from Washington State University.

She is active on various boards in the region, including the Aerospace and Advanced Materials Manufacturing Pipeline Committee, the Institutional Review Board at the University of Puget Sound, as a founding member of the Community Advisory Board of the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service at Washington State University, the Advisory Council to the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at WSU, and serves as president of the World Affairs Council of Tacoma.
