We are happily announcing Stephanie Leeper, Student Activities and Events Coordinator with the Carson College of Business, as a Crimson Spirit Award recipient.

On the WSU Vancouver campus, Stephanie works to ensure that students have a large variety of events, workshops, seminars, and symposiums to attend for Amplifier credit. Amplifier is a professional development program that is designed to help students gain skills to be successful at WSU and in future careers. Stephanie has been seeking new and meaningful ways for students to engage with the Amplifier program and even created and instituted an in-depth tracking system that provides data for her to analyze. This has helped create a more student-centered approach to the Amplifier curriculum on campus.

Stephanie has also provided significant and additional support outside of her normal duties during the Business Growth Mentor and Analysis program leadership transition. She excelled at handling all of the challenges that came her way and found ways to make collaborating smoother for everyone involved. “[Her] ability to step in and step up to offer help and support to other units in order to promote the Cougar way is remarkable and should be commended.”

Stephanie is “constantly innovating, and puts everything she has into her work in a positive and effective way.” She is being recognized for exceeding expectations, providing superior quality service, presenting noteworthy extra effort, and providing outstanding contributions to WSU. Her nominator finishes by saying, “I could not be more proud to [work with] Stephanie, and I feel that she very much deserves to be recognized for this award.”
