Kami Ryplewski, office assistant 3 for Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, received 2020 Crimson Spirit Recognition.

Ms. Ryplewski’s nominator says “Kami embodies dedication and loyalty to her department, her daily tasks and her team. For many, the department assistant is the heart of a department, and … we would be at a loss without Kami.”

Ms. Ryplewski works to improve procedures, can always be found helping students, and looks for ways to help colleagues. When the department printer went out for two weeks, it presented a big problem for the department. Ms. Ryplewski responded to the challenge by personally printing all faculty and student documents in another department and hand delivering those documents to each person.  “[W]hen you think of the size of our department and the demand for printing everyday, Kami kept our department seamlessly working without a hiccup.”

Ms. Ryplewski is willing to do whatever is necessary to make another person’s workload easier. She is frequently heard asking, “How can I help?” and is always ready to step in without any issues or complaints. Her nominator says “She’s the first in the office and typically the last to leave. I’ve truly found it to be a blessing to work alongside Kami.”

Ms. Ryplewski is recognized for anticipating needs and taking appropriate action, providing superior service, and providing noteworthy extra efforts.
