Brett Oglesbee, Director of Finance and Administrative Services, for Business and Finance Services in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine has received Crimson Spirit recognition.

Being responsible for a vast array of financial and administrative services, Brett has faced exceptional pressure on the team he oversees since the launch of Workday – on top of the already increasingly complex and growing operations of the College of Medicine. Despite these pressures, Brett’s nominator says “Brett has managed to retain a high level of accessibility, takes personal responsibility for resolving complicated budget and grant management issues, takes time out of his busy schedule to educate and explain, and maintains a positive work environment for those who work for him and with him.”

Brett has also been instrumental for his department when it comes to the transition to the new Workday system and “has done a remarkable job maintaining a streamlined operation at the College of Medicine and also helping to remove obstacles faced by others.” Brett continuously finds creative and efficient ways to solve technical and operational difficulties within his department. His nominator also says that Brett “is focused, efficient, hard-working, service-oriented, and someone you know is in your corner.”

Mr. Oglesbee is recognized for presenting noteworthy extra effort, expressing genuine interest, and demonstrating creative problem-solving skills.
