Jennifer Anderson of the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine has received Crimson Spirit Recognition.

Jennifer Anderson began her work as the Coordinator for the new CIPHERS initiative with the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in September 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, and since then “she has demonstrated extraordinary professionalism and made outstanding contributions to many faculty and staff members’ projects, often going above and beyond by offering to help with organizing, investigation of issues, or just generally supporting whatever needs to be done.”

Her nominator explains how she has fostered an atmosphere of inclusion within her role and has done fantastic work on developing resources for CIPHERS stakeholders. Jennifer “has gone above and beyond her positional expectations and expanded her skills to support a growing group of faculty in the area of national grant applications. This was not specifically part of her role and during the pandemic, we have struggled with staffing resources in supporting research applications. Ms. Anderson has “stepped up” and supported the team for two grant applications in a way that substantially raised the ability of the team to apply and the quality of the application.”

Jennifer’s nomination included comments from many of the faculty and staff in her department, all of whom brag on her exceptional attention to detail for her tasks as well as highlighting her positive attitude and friendly demeanor, all while being a remote member of her team. One faculty member says, “I have never before worked with an individual who made such a positive impact in such a short period of time.” Another remarks “In addition to all of her skills and abilities, Jennifer is always kind, respectful and demonstrates unparalleled professionalism. We are so lucky to have Jennifer Anderson on our team.”

Jennifer has received Crimson Spirit recognition for anticipating needs and taking appropriate action, creative problem solving skills, and providing outstanding contributions to the WSU community.
