Lisa Blumenshein, Finance and Budget Manager with Student Affairs, has received Crimson Spirit recognition.

Lisa has been instrumental with the transition to Workday. Throughout the process, her nominator says that “she has served as a resource, confidant, and saving grace in helping us to recruit and on-board our new staff members. For example, we hired a new student staff member who lives in Seattle and when we were getting her set-up in the system, before we even got to the I-9 stage, Lisa had already reached out to find someone in the Seattle area who would be able to assist our new staff member.”

Lisa has proven time and time again that she is an invaluable resource to her co-workers and department as a whole. She anticipates needs, takes appropriate actions, and goes above and beyond to ensure that things are running smoothly for her department. Her nominator also remarks how “Lisa has been valuable resource. In my role, I have had the opportunity to supervise different areas when we have been down staff. During these times, I often reach out to Lisa for her help and counsel on the budgets and help with acquiring the needed information. She turns around anything I ask for in record time (less than 1 business day!) even though she has so much going on. She never misses a beat, and she is always willing to do a Teams call for me to better understand something, or remind me of what I have asked before and subsequently forgotten!”

Ms. Blumenshein is recognized for anticipating needs, taking appropriate action, following up to ensure issues are resolved and providing superior quality service.
