The Employee Recognition Reception is an annual, system-wide celebration to recognize the contributions of faculty and staff at Washington State University.

The 2022 celebration was held on February 22, 2023, and honored approximately 930 WSU employees who reached milestone years of service or received the Crimson Spirit Award in 2022.

The event started with the WSU Marching Band, conducted by Butch T. Cougar, playing the WSU Fight Song while the audience sang along! Four 45-year honorees, eight 40-year honorees, and twelve Crimson Spirit honorees were personally recognized by President Schulz during the reception.
