2024 July Modernization and Workday Updates
Resources and Support Available for New Workday Absence Calendar Experience
On May 4, 2024, Modernization launched the new Absence Calendar experience in Workday, updating the look and feel of several key Absence pages and tasks. In addition to the positive comments about the new functionality, we also received helpful feedback for needed clarification regarding navigation and the use of new features, including how to enter time off through the Time Entry Calendar.
To help all Workday users, useful guides and resources are available in Workday to learn how to learn how to navigate and use the updated Absence Calendar and related functionality.
Prepare for July 2024 Mass Salary Increase Blackout Dates
In July 2024, HRS will process the following mass action in Workday:
- Civil Service Mass Salary Increase effective July 1
Departments are encouraged to prepare for this blackout date by reviewing the July 2024 HCM Mass Action Timelines and Options guide. This guide provides information about key deadlines and tasks that require completion prior to the processing of the July mass action.
Throughout July, the Modernization team will identify in-flight actions that may cause fallout during the mass action. Human Resource Services will work with the relevant HR and Compensation partners of any out-of-deadline in-flight actions.
For questions and additional help, please submit a General Human Resource Services Question via the Workday Service Desk.
