Curious about what your Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) team has been up to? We’re keeping things fresh with updates to existing courses and exciting new projects on the horizon. While we’re busy behind the scenes, here’s a quick look at what’s happening now, and what’s coming soon.

Refresher Coming Soon: Energy Comfort Training at WSU

Developed by WSU’s Integrated Design and Construction Lab (IDCL), this refreshed course responds to system-wide surveys about how our community experiences comfort, energy use, and learning environments. Gain insight into how everyday choices affect energy use and personal comfort across campus.

Updates to Wildfire Smoke Training

The Wildfire Smoke Training is currently offered as a learning journey that includes the WSU Wildfire Smoke Training course and a separate L&I Wildfire Smoke module. By the end of the calendar year, the L&I module will no longer be a required standalone component. Instead, it will be integrated as a resource within the WSU Wildfire Smoke Training course. This streamlines the learning experience while maintaining access to essential regulatory information.

ORSO Course Retired: Research Security – Manage and Mitigate Risk V1.2

The Office of Research Support and Operations (ORSO) has retired the Research Security: Manage and Mitigate Risk course. For any questions or further information, please contact ORSO directly.

Course Update: Whistleblower Act

The Whistleblower Act course is no longer a required component of the WSU Supervisor Training Series. Plans are in place to transition this course to an on-demand format, though no timeline has been set. Areas interested in scheduling an instructor-led session are encouraged to contact hrs.training@wsu.edu, and you will be connected with the instructor.

Noteworthy September and October Enhancements in Percipio

Check out these key updates and enhancements for Percipio during September and October.

  • AI Assistant will now provide follow-up prompts to guide conversations and improve information retrieval.
  • The Journey Activity Detail report has received an enhancement with the all-new “Journey details tab”, making it easier to see a learner’s activity and measure learning progress. Additionally, learners who view journey content without starting it now receive a prompt to begin. This starts the tracking of progress and adds it to their Activity; declining keeps it hidden.
