Nominate a Leader for the 2025 Governor’s Outstanding Leadership Awards

Each year, Washington State celebrates the public servants who go above and beyond to make our state a better place to live, work, and thrive. The Governor’s Outstanding Leadership Award honors individuals who exemplify the highest standards of leadership and public service across state government.

Now’s your chance to recognize those who demonstrated exceptional leadership in 2024. Honor someone who led with integrity, inspired others, and delivered meaningful results through innovation, equity, and continuous improvement. Nominees should reflect the values that drive public service forward—collaboration, accountability, and a commitment to making a difference.

The 2025 nomination window is open through May 28, with award recipients to be announced in September. A selection committee led by the State Chief Human Resource Officer will review submissions, and honorees will be recognized by the Governor at a special event in the fall. Don’t miss this opportunity to shine a light on the leaders who are shaping a stronger, more inclusive Washington.
