The Open Enrollment period for 2025 benefit elections is currently underway, running from Oct. 28–Nov. 25. If you plan to participate in a Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) or Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) for 2025, your enrollment must be completed by Monday, Nov. 25. Current FSA/DCAP participants are not automatically re-enrolled in the program; you must enroll each year you wish to participate.

FSAs allow you to set aside pretax money from your paycheck to pay for out-of-pocket health care costs; Limited FSAs will cover dental and visions costs. DCAP allows you to set aside pretax money from your paycheck to pay for qualifying childcare or elder care expenses.

The minimum contribution amount for the Medical FSA and Limited Purpose FSA in 2025 is $120 and the maximum is $3,200. The maximum annual amount for DCAP in 2025 is $5,000 per household ($2,500 each if you and your spouse file separate tax returns).

Enrollment is completed through Workday. Visit the HRS Open Enrollment website for additional information about these benefits, including a schedule for Zoom presentations or a recorded presentation covering the Medical and Limited FSA benefits.
