Each year, the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) selects a chapter who is making a significant impact through its commitment to CUPA-HR and the higher education HR community. This year, the Washington Chapter was selected to receive the national award.

Washington State University has had a robust presence on both the state chapter board and the western region chapter board. The work and commitment of these individuals have allowed for the recognition of the Washington Chapter. The National Chapter Award is a testament to WSU’s commitment to fostering a supportive and forward-thinking HR community and is a reflection of the hard work and collective efforts of its HR professionals.

Current chapter board members from WSU include Laura Hamilton, Board Member/Treasurer, and Sharon Games, Board Member. The immediate past members who set a foundation that made the work possible include Jaide Wilhelm, Prior Board Member, and Teddi Phares, Prior Board Member/Chapter President.

The Washington CUPA-HR Chapter will be recognized for its work and this achievement during a virtual meeting for all national awardees in July as well as during the Fall National CUPA-HR Annual Conference and Expo in Orlando, Florida.
