In Workday, those with finance-related security roles are at the heart of finance functions and processes, including general accounting, budget planning and reconciliation, travel and expenses, procurement, and more. The 2024 Elevating Cougs conference offers those who perform finance tasks in Workday the opportunity to learn more about using Workday to its fullest potential, including new functionality and resources launched in the last year.

At the 2023 Elevating Cougs conference, Workday Success Stories track sessions covered a variety of higher-level topics for finance, including managing Expense Reports and Spend Authorizations, PCard management, and managing employees paid on grants. You can review last year’s sessions here.

This year’s Workday Success Stories track offers deeper dives into certain processes and functions in Workday, highlighting the ways Workday connects systems, information, and people across WSU. Those who perform finance tasks can gain deeper understanding of the processes they perform in Workday through the following sessions:

  • From yesterday to today: Finance – Review of the new features and enhancements from the last 12 months
  • TouchPoints: How Finance, HCM, & Payroll are all connected in Workday
  • Understanding PAAs – What PAAs are, when to use them, and ways to reduce them
