Making timely benefit elections is essential to avoid default options and ensure access to all available benefits. Benefit-eligible new employees will receive a Workday notice detailing the necessary benefit and retirement tasks to complete within their first 31 days. An email will also be sent to their WSU email address, highlighting the importance of making these elections on time. This email will include links to Percipio benefit and retirement orientation resources. Supervisors should incorporate time into the onboarding process for employees to attend these orientations.
