Overtime Eligibility Changes: Washington State L&I salary threshold changes are expected annually on January 1 of each year through 2028. Review the Overtime Eligibility FAQS for more information.

The salary threshold for 2024 has been announced, and has been set to $67,724.80 annually ($5643.74 monthly).

2023 General Wage Increase for Civil Service, Faculty and Administrative Professional Employees: Faculty and administrative professional employees will receive a 2.5% general wage increase October 1, 2023.  The increase will be included on the October 25 pay check. Civil Service employees received a 4% general wage increase on July 1, 2023.

Targeted Range Changes: Certain job classifications were identified by the Office of Financial Management – State Human Resources to receive an increase to a higher salary range effective July 1, 2023. Employees in these targeted job classifications will move step for step to the new salary range on July 1, 2023. This change will be processed centrally and departments do not need to take action.
